Kayla Stockert (formerly Kayla Starr) has been singing professionally since the age of 8.
Kayla started her music career touring the country in doo-wop shows performing along with original legends of doo-wop and oldies music. Some of these legends include Jay Siegel and the Tokens, Barbara Harris and the Toys, Connie Francis, Freddy Paris & the Five Statins, Johnny Maestro &The Brooklyn Bridge, Vito Picone & the Elegants, The Chantels, Gloria Gaynor, Kenny Vance, Donny Most & Frankie Lymons Teenagers
She started writing her own music at the age of 13 and debuted her first EP “Castles In The Sand” in 2012 along with the Como Brothers.
Kayla than moved to New York City and signed with a modeling agency while independently also making music. Kayla traveled between California and New York city for commercial and print work. Kayla’s original song “Brighter Side” was placed in a National Starbucks commercial in which she and her brothers made an appearance.
Kayla is also an accomplished model and voice over artist. She was cast as Gal Gadot’s body double for a Smartwater commercial, shot for Neiman Marcus for the Holiday book and has also enjoyed the opportunities 72 & Sunny has given her.
Over the years, Kayla had amazing opportunities to travel and perform at some memorable venues such as Jones Beach Amphitheatre, The Highline Ballroom, The Friars Club, The Apollo, The Dunkin Center. She also played countless street fairs, festivals, theaters, sleepaway camps, lounges, restaurants, and bars.
Kayla’s original song “Where Did You Go” reached over a million streams and stays consecutively on the Spotify Chill Hits playlist.
